Get to know the EAC Team

After many years of forced exile due to war, the homecoming experience was exhilarating and full of hope. However, we were soon appalled by the suffering and the vulnerability of children from low-income families struggling to access education.

We had to do something fast. We started Education Action in Crisis (EAC) as Smart Mind Series (2017) in the downtown of Kakuma, Kenya.

Equipped with quality education from abroad, we aimed to help and provide our learners with the necessary skills. Along the way, we realized that there were pertinent cases of illiteracy which SMS couldn't do.

This shortcoming ushered in the birth of Education Action in Crisis. It soon became obvious that it would make sense to help make our education as seamlessly and painlessly as possible for the children, teachers and the communities.

Our strength lies in our work as a team.
